# Delegation board

Back in November 2020, the $IDLE token went live, and together with it, a decentralized governance composed of the $IDLE token holders. Each upgrade or change to the protocol since then can be voted for by both IDLE and stkIDLE holders either on-chain, with the Idle Improvement Proposals (IIP), or off-chain on [Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/).

@Davide shared a guide on how to delegate your $IDLE voting power. It’s very important that IDLE token-holders interested in actively participating in the DAO governance either delegate another address or self-delegate their own wallet.

> Holding IDLE tokens does not mean that you are automatically eligible to vote, but you have to go through a further step and assign that power to yourself (self-delegate).

> **Receive delegations**

> If you receive a delegation, you can not further delegate the amount delegated to you to other people (you can only delegate votes corresponding to your IDLE tokens). By the way, if your delegators increase their stake and hold more IDLE, they don’t have to re-delegate the added funds as your voting balance is automatically updated.

By visiting the [Delegates section](https://www.tally.xyz/gov/idle#:~:text=View%20all-,Trending%20Delegates,-0xDB47...99d0) on the Idle governance dashboard, users can have a full view of how and when the most active addresses voted on IIPs.

This post will be used as a unified board to list all the active delegation pitches and be updated over time to include the new delegations.

The delegates will also be listed in the [Governance dashboard on Tally](https://www.tally.xyz/gov/idle/delegates).
